The all-new Text2Speech hardware and software tools for the NEO 1 and NEO 2 help pupils convert any written text into spoken words. By installing Text2Speech, a simple addon device to any NEO 1 or NEO 2, you enable pupils of all abilities to expand their learning experiences by listening to text at any speed desired. This interactive tool improves expression, writing, fluency, comprehension and grammar - and builds pupil motivation.Pupils can choose to plug in headphones for personalised use, or speakers for communication with others. The software can be customised for pupils of all levels and abilities by selecting settings for automatic read-back by letter, word, sentence or paragraph, and words are highlighted on the NEO's screen as they are read.

Additional settings include adjustable read-back speeds, adjustable volume control, male or female voices, and more, for maximised listening customisation. Text2Speech also works with NEO's Spell-checker and Thesaurus features and is compatible with Don Johnston's Co:Writer - word prediction software (sold separately), giving pupils even more flexibility and confidence in their writing and selfexpression.
